Last night, AC Milan made history at Yankee Stadium, donning their Home kit for the first half of a friendly match against Manchester City, before stunning fans by switching to their newly minted 24/25 Away Kit for the second half. This bold move marked the first time the Club has debuted a kit in such an innovative manner.
Maikel Oettle, AC Milan’s Chief Commercial Officer, emphasized the significance of this launch, stating, “We’re pushing the boundaries of how we connect with our fans and communities.” The Away kit, a masterful blend of classic white, red-and-black polo collar, and monochromatic crest, embodies the spirit of success and sophistication that defines AC Milan. A tonal pinstripe pattern adds a touch of nostalgia, honoring the team’s origins as the Milan Football and Cricket Club.
AC Milan’s partnership with PUMA has resulted in a kit that not only pays tribute to the Club’s rich legacy but also incorporates cutting-edge performance technology. Marco Mueller, PUMA’s Senior Director of Product Line Management Teamsport Apparel, noted, “We wanted to create a jersey that combines elegance with innovation.” The Authentic jersey, crafted with PUMA’s ULTRAWEAVE fabric, ensures elite-level performance, while the Replica jersey offers the same striking design with a more relaxed fit.
The launch of the Away kit is part of the “City and Milan for Change” initiative, a collaborative effort by AC Milan, Manchester City, and PUMA to give back to the New York Community. The initiative includes a joint community event in New Jersey, which brought together over 60 boys and girls from local soccer programs. The event featured participation from legends of both Clubs, making it a memorable occasion for all involved.
The AC Milan Away kit is available from PUMA stores, PUMA.com, the AC Milan Official Stores, store.milan.com, and select retailers worldwide from July 28th.
