The Three Stripes brand has unveiled its latest capsule collection, adidas Rolling Links. This innovative line bridges the gap between golf and skateboarding, two seemingly disparate worlds that have more in common than you might think. Available October 4, the collection offers a fresh perspective on golf apparel, infused with the rebellious spirit of skateboarding culture.
The adidas Rolling Links capsule is inspired by the common characteristics of both sports: strong communities, distinctive styles and a focus on individual expression. By fusing these elements, adidas has created a unique product line that challenges traditional golf fashion norms while maintaining functionality on the course.
Dylan Moore, adidas Golf Creative Director, explains the concept behind the collection: “We saw an opportunity to bring some of that design direction from our skateboarding counterparts at the brand to create something truly unique for the course and continue to push golf fashion in a new way.“
The collection features a range of unisex items including crewneck windshirts, hoodies, v-neck vests and polo shirts in both short and long sleeve styles. These tops are complemented by shorts and chinos, all with subtle tonal three-stripe side hems. The color palette of white, grey, black, green and blue pays homage to both the sport and the iconic adidas Trefoil logo.
Adam Brown, Senior Brand Director for adidas Skateboarding, notes the growing interest in golf among skateboarders: “For numerous reasons, golf is definitely a sport that is growing in the Skate community when they aren’t skateboarding. So this type of collaboration at adidas is just one that makes sense, especially since there are so many parallels between the two sports.“
To showcase the collection, adidas chose Palm Springs as the backdrop for the campaign, capitalizing on the city’s laid-back vibe and reputation as an escape from the city. The brand enlisted professional skateboarders from the adidas team, including Nora Vasconcellos, Kader Sylla, Jack Fardell and Zach Saraceno, all of whom are golf enthusiasts.
The Rolling Links capsule also introduces two exclusive shoe options: a chalk-white edition of the Superstar Golf with green and blue accents, and an all-black MC Z-Traxion. These shoes combine style with on-course functionality, enhancing the golfer’s look while ensuring performance. The collection is rounded out with a selection of colored crew socks and caps.
The adidas Rolling Links collection will be available at CONFIRMED, adidas.com, the adidas app and select retailers worldwide beginning October 4th.
