As the tennis world converges on the Big Apple for the final major tournament of the season, adidas is unveiling its 19-piece FW24 “New York Tennis” apparel collection, designed to optimize movement and reduce distractions for players of all levels. This high-performance range, featuring bold blue and white colorways inspired by the iconic hard courts of New York, is the result of cutting-edge motion capture technology and expert design.
The collection’s strategic material placements and cut-outs, informed by motion capture technology, follow the natural curves of the body, allowing for maximum flexibility and adaptability. The women’s AEROREADY Dress Pro and HEAT.RDY Match Skirt Pro boast pleats over the upper leg, enabling players to change direction with ease. Meanwhile, the men’s HEAT.RDY FreeLift Polo Shirt Pro and HEAT.RDY Tank Top Pro feature white color blocking in high-heat areas, ensuring players stay cool under pressure.
Adidas’ innovative AIRCHILL technology is also utilized in the men’s AIRCHILL FreeLift T-Shirt Pro and women’s AIRCHILL Match Tank Pro, creating ventilation zones in high-sweat areas to maximize airflow. These design features are more than just aesthetically pleasing; they are designed to give players a competitive edge.
The FW24 “New York Tennis Collection” also includes nine footwear silhouettes, including the recently launched Defiant Speed 2, will also be available in a range of seasonal colorways for men and women. The Defiant Speed 2 is a lightweight and durable shoe built for speed, boasting a Lightstrike midsole, hard-wearing Adiwear outsole, and toe abrasion zone for added traction and support.
The head-to-toe collection will be worn by top athletes, including Stefanos Tsitsipas and Felix Auger-Aliassime, and is now available to buy at adidas.com and via the adidas app, with prices ranging from €60-200 for apparel and €120 for the Defiant Speed 2.
