Polestar is a Swedish electric vehicle company owned by Volvo Cars. Founded in 1996, it started as a performance tuning brand for Volvos. In 2017, it was relaunched to focus on making luxury electric cars, like the Polestar 2, a competitor to Tesla Model 3.
