The Rolls-Royce Ghost Series II has been unveiled, presenting a powerful and elegant interpretation of the marque’s most popular nameplate. Tailored for the modern driver, this new iteration remains true to its heritage while embracing advanced technology and bespoke customisation.
A modern expression of luxury
The Ghost Series II embodies the fundamental principles of Rolls-Royce: serenity, effortlessness and elegance. Designers have refined the exterior to provide a clean and contemporary canvas that highlights the illuminated Pantheon grille. Updated headlights feature daytime running light graphics that emphasize the car’s impressive width, creating a commanding presence on the road.
Bespoke craftsmanship at its finest
Customers now have unprecedented access to interior finishes and features never before available on the Ghost. The new Spirit of Ecstasy Clock Cabinet houses an analog timepiece alongside a stainless steel figurine, adding a touch of artistry to the cabin. Juliane Blasi, Head of Exterior Design at Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “Ghost Series II is characterized by meaningful refinements that further enhance the motor car’s standing as a potent canvas for creativity.”
Enhanced driving dynamics
At the heart of the Ghost Series II is a 6.75-liter twin-turbocharged V12 engine that delivers impressive power with maximum torque available from just 1,600 rpm. The all-wheel steering and drivetrain ensure agility and control, making it the most driver-oriented V12 Rolls-Royce ever created. Chris Brownridge, Chief Executive of Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, said: “This new generation of Ghost has extraordinary handling capabilities based on advanced chassis innovations.”
Cutting-edge technology
The Planar Suspension System, perfected over a decade, provides an unparalleled “magic carpet ride”. The Flagbearer System uses cameras to read the road ahead and prepare the suspension for surface changes, while the Satellite Aided Transmission selects the optimal gear based on GPS data. The Central Information Display now incorporates an advanced operating system that allows customers to customize digital instrument dials to match their personalized interior or exterior palette.
A canvas for personalisation
Recognizing that customers view their Rolls-Royce as an extension of their personal style, the Ghost Series II offers new materials such as Grey Stained Ash wood and Duality Twill fabric made from bamboo. The marque’s bespoke audio system has been upgraded with a 1,400-watt amplifier and innovative speaker placement, transforming the cabin into an exceptional listening environment.
Extended wheelbase option
For those who desire additional rear space without compromising performance, the Ghost Extended Series II adds 170mm to the rear compartment. Despite the added length, this model retains the dynamic capabilities of its standard counterpart, offering both luxury and agility.
Since its introduction in 2009, the Ghost has been a symbol of Rolls-Royce’s commitment to evolving with its customers. The Ghost Series II continues this legacy, blending timeless design with modern innovation to ensure it remains at the pinnacle of automotive excellence.
