Alejandro Gómez Palomo, the visionary behind Palomo Spain, has once again pushed the boundaries of menswear with his Spring 2025 collection. Presented at the Fourth Universalist Society in New York City, the show, titled “All of Heaven’s Parties,” celebrated sexuality and romance while challenging traditional notions of masculinity.
The collection was inspired by a transformative experience Palomo had at a party in Brooklyn, where he witnessed a liberating atmosphere of acceptance and joy. This revelation led him to explore the intersection of pleasure and spirituality, resulting in a line that blends opulence with avant-garde sensibilities.
Palomo’s signature gender-fluid aesthetic was on full display with silhouettes that defied convention. Standout pieces included trousers adorned with cascading metal fringes, knitwear embellished with intricate chrysanthemum embroidery, and oversized leather blazers studded with crystals. The designer’s commitment to craftsmanship was evident in every detail, from the piano-shawl-inspired fringe on satin tops to the mesmerizing beadwork on pants.
The collection’s color palette ranged from ethereal pastels to rich jewel tones, creating a visual feast that captivated the audience. Palomo Spain’s exploration of romance extended to his choice of fabrics, with delicate chiffons and sumptuous velvets adding texture and movement to the garments.
One of the most striking aspects of the Spring 2025 line was Palomo’s reinterpretation of traditionally feminine elements for a male wardrobe. Bows, ruffles and sequins were reimagined in a way that felt both fresh and provocative, challenging viewers to rethink their preconceived notions of gendered clothing.
The show’s styling further emphasized the collection’s themes, with models sporting elaborate feathered headdresses and bold makeup looks. This theatrical presentation underscored Palomo Spain’s vision of fashion as a form of self-expression and art.
While the collection focused on eveningwear and statement pieces, Palomo didn’t neglect the everyday. He cleverly elevated basics such as T-shirts by creating them in luxurious organza and embellishing them with feathers and beaded accents, adding a touch of glamour to more casual occasions.
