The legendary Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” is set to make its triumphant return for All-Star Weekend 2025.
Originally released during the 2012 NBA All-Star Weekend, the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” quickly became one of the most sought-after sneakers in history. Its release was nothing short of phenomenal, with stories of fans trading cars and even getting into heated confrontations at malls just to get their hands on these celestial kicks. The shoe’s popularity even extended to the court, with NBA star Rajon Rondo sporting them during the All-Star Game in Orlando.
Now, after more than a decade, Nike is bringing back this iconic shoe.Initially rumored for a Spring 2024 release, sneaker insiders have confirmed that the Galaxy Foamposite will instead be released in Spring 2025. As usual, the release will coincide with the NBA All-Star Game in San Francisco.
Sneaker fans can expect the 2025 version to stay true to the original. The shoe will feature the signature mix of obsidian, anthracite, and black, adorned with the mesmerizing galaxy graphic that made the original so distinctive. This cosmic pattern, with its stars, planets, and nebulous clouds, will once again adorn the Foamposite upper, creating an out-of-this-world visual experience.
The 2025 Galaxy Foamposite will keep its Zoom Air cushioning, ensuring comfort and responsiveness on and off the court. The glow-in-the-dark rubber outsole, a fan favorite, is making a comeback, adding to the allure of this captivating design.
Mark your calendars for February 2025, when the Nike Air Foamposite One “Galaxy” is expected to launch. The sneakers will be available through Nike’s official channels, including the SNKRS app, as well as select retailers both online and in-store. It’s priced at $240, which is a bit more than its 2012 predecessor.
