The last Jaguar F-TYPE sports car, a stunning 5.0 liter V8 Convertible in Giola Green, has rolled off the production line at Jaguar’s Castle Bromwich factory, marking the end of an era. Introduced in 2013 to universal acclaim, the F-TYPE has been a resounding success story for the British marque, with 87,731 units sold over its lifetime. This final car, with its black roof and sumptuous Tan Windsor leather interior, pays homage to the last Jaguar E-type built 50 years ago to the day.

The ultimate F-TYPE will take its place in the Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust collection, joining its spiritual predecessor – the last E-type convertible produced in 1974. Both cars represent watershed moments for Jaguar, as the company looks ahead to an electrified future while celebrating its rich sports car legacy. JDHT plans to showcase this special F-TYPE at a series of events and activities throughout the year.

While production has ceased, Jaguar still has F-TYPE inventory available for purchase until early 2025. Powered by potent V6 and V8 engines, these cars offer a pure, engaging driving experience that has earned the model numerous accolades over the years, including 2013 World Car Design of the Year.

The Jaguar F-TYPE’s discontinuation comes as Jaguar prepares for a bold transformation, moving to an all-electric luxury vehicle lineup from 2025 onward. This shift will see the brand start with a clean-sheet design approach, even retiring its current EV offering, the I-PACE. Jaguar’s Managing Director Rawdon Glover emphasized the importance of staying “future-facing, relevant and original,” building on the vision of founder Sir William Lyons.

Leading the charge will be an all-new electric four-door GT, slated for reveal in 2025 with a price around €100,000. Jaguar promises this sedan will be unlike any other EV on the market, leveraging a dedicated platform to deliver a truly unique driving experience.
