Giorgio Armani and Kith have partnered to introduce “The Archetype” Collection, their first collaborative menswear line for the upcoming Fall/Winter 2024 season. This innovative collection blends the distinct sensibilities of both brands, offering a fresh perspective on men’s style.
The collaboration presents four unique capsules: The Artist, The Entertainer, The Traveler, and The Entrepreneur. Each capsule captures a different archetype, featuring signature silhouettes and creating a comprehensive lifestyle offering. “Even from our earliest conversations, I knew I wanted this collection to revolve around suiting. To me, ‘suit’ and ‘Giorgio Armani’ are synonymous,” said Ronnie Fieg, Founder, CEO & Creative Director of Kith.
The Artist capsule embodies the creative visionary, with designs rendered entirely in black. The centerpiece is a double-breasted suit crafted from black virgin wool. Complementary pieces include a long trench coat, a marled cashmere silk turtleneck, and a bomber jacket made from the same virgin wool. Accessories feature a monogram-debossed leather document bag and elegant scarves and beanies.
The Entertainer capsule exudes confidence and flair, utilizing a palette of navy and dark green. The standout is a navy velvet suit with a crossover closure jacket and voluminous double-pleated pants. This rich velvet also appears in a rugby shirt, drawstring-waisted pants, and bucket hats. Additional styles include a luxurious double-breasted coat and a zip shirt with an asymmetrical collar.
The Traveler capsule appeals to the global citizen, showcasing shades of tans and browns. The three-piece suit, featuring a double-breasted jacket, is made from lightweight virgin wool. Other items include a robe-like outerwear silhouette, cashmere turtlenecks, and an alpaca wool field coat. Accessories are practical yet stylish, including a suede duffle bag, dopp kit, passport holder, and various hats and gloves.
The Entrepreneur capsule represents those who trust their intuition. Dark brown dominates the color scheme, with accents of navy, tan, and black. The suit features a single-breasted jacket with a detachable scarf and double-pleated trousers. Additional pieces include a cashmere overcoat, midi puffer jacket, and a leather-paneled football jersey. Accessories offer a woven leather rucksack, card holders, gloves, and reversible belts.
Footwear and graphic apparel complement the collection, featuring collaborative Kith & Giorgio Armani logos. Footwear styles include the chukka boot, hiker boot, and loafer, each crafted with premium materials and distinctive branding. Graphic tees, sweaters, caps, and beanies further embody the collaboration’s unique aesthetic.
To bring The Archetype Collection to life, Giorgio Armani and Kith created campaigns featuring individuals who embody each archetype. The Artist campaign stars acclaimed film director Martin Scorsese, whose revolutionary work in cinema positions him as an artistic icon. “His steadfast representation of his hometown, New York, is a value shared and respected by fellow native, Ronnie Fieg,” the brands noted.
The Entertainer features actor and musician LaKeith Stanfield, known for his charismatic presence and remarkable versatility. The Traveler is portrayed by iconic actor Pierce Brosnan, globally recognized for his sophisticated style and roles that span diverse cultures. The Entrepreneur highlights Ronnie Fieg himself, showcasing his journey in fashion and his dedication to building a global brand.
In celebration of the launch, special pop-up experiences were hosted during Fashion Weeks across major cities. Starting in New York, a townhouse on the Upper East Side was transformed to reflect the four archetypes. Visitors explored the spaces and shopped the collection ahead of its official release.
Subsequent launches occurred during London and Milan Fashion Weeks, with early releases at select Giorgio Armani stores. The collection became available globally, including online launches on Armani.com and Kith’s platforms. A final pop-up in Shanghai will mark the collection’s introduction to the Chinese market.
