First seen on the feet of Ethiopian runner Haile Gebrselassie during his record-breaking 2008 Berlin Marathon, the Adios Neftenga holds a unique place in running shoe history. Despite its esteemed pedigree and the fact that Gebrselassie broke his own world record with a time of 2:03:59 while wearing the shoe, the Neftenga never saw widespread public release, becoming almost mythical among sneaker aficionados.

Faithful to the original, the Wales Bonner x Adidas Adios Neftenga features the striking “Light Yellow” and “Core Black” colorway that graced Gebrselassie’s feet. The shoe retains its performance-oriented design and features the responsive Adiprene foam midsole, a hallmark of the original.
