adidas Originals will release its “Year of the Snake” collection for the Lunar New Year, featuring reimagined versions of classic silhouettes. The pack includes the Samba, Superstar and Campus 00s, each adorned with subtle yet symbolic details that pay homage to the Chinese zodiac.
The Samba leads the pack with its sophisticated design. A snakeskin motif adorns the Three Stripes, adding a touch of luxury to the classic silhouette. The white leather upper is complemented by a gray suede toe cap and burgundy heel, while woven textile panels between the stripes add depth to the design. A lightweight gum rubber outsole completes the timeless look.
For the Superstar, adidas opts for a crisp white snakeskin-textured upper contrasted with black leather stripes. The iconic shell toe remains intact, maintaining the shoe’s classic appeal. Burgundy accents tie in with the collection’s theme.
The Campus 00S takes a bolder approach with a muted pink suede upper that sets it apart from its counterparts. Burgundy snakeskin textured three stripes echo the sockliner, while khaki details on the heel and tongue provide balance. Gold accents on the tongue logo add a festive touch.
Unifying elements throughout the collection include the Hanzi lettering on the heel, a snake graphic on the insole alongside the adidas Originals 1972 logo, and special edition packaging. Each pair comes in a burgundy and gold shoebox, further emphasizing the celebratory nature of the release.
The adidas Originals “Year of the Snake” collection is slated for a spring 2025 release. While pricing details are yet to be confirmed, you can expect these limited edition models to be available on adidas.com and select retailers.
