Ferrari’s Resort 2025 collection, recently unveiled, marks a significant milestone in the brand’s foray into fashion, which began three years ago. Under the creative direction of Rocco Iannone, Ferrari‘s fashion arm has worked tirelessly to create a unique and sophisticated identity that resonates with its discerning clientele.
The collection is the culmination of seven seasons of dialog with customers, and it’s clear that Iannone and his team have been listening intently. The result is a wide range of pieces that cater to different tastes and preferences. From statement outerwear to elegant evening wear, the collection is a masterclass in versatility and sophistication.
One of the collection’s outstanding features is its innovative use of materials. Ferrari’s commitment to sustainability is evident in the use of Q-Cycle, a responsible yarn made from discarded tires. This eco-friendly material is transformed into a stunning woven nylon twill and couture-inspired knitwear that exudes a sense of futuristic chic.
The color palette is equally impressive, with a bold expansion beyond Ferrari’s signature Rosso Corsa. Ecru, white, navy, baby blue, sage and pine green are just a few of the hues that make an appearance, adding a touch of modernity and freshness to the collection. Black, of course, is also present, providing a sleek and sophisticated backdrop for the other colors to shine.
Shoes are a highlight of the collection, with ballerinas and sneakers designed to resemble driving shoes for urban environments. Leather is used to great effect in tracksuit bottoms and blazers, showcasing its versatility as an ultra-soft fabric. The attention to detail is meticulous, with bolts embedded in canvas bags and the paint scheme used to customize collector cars applied to tailored garments.
The 7×7 check pattern is a subtle nod to Ferrari’s heritage, while the eroticism of anatomical studies adds a touch of sensuality to the collection. The gears of a hybrid engine are transformed into jewelry that reflects the codes of the Art Deco style, further cementing the link between fashion and the automotive world.
