A Ma Maniére, the Atlanta-based boutique retailer, is celebrating its 10th anniversary with a special collaboration with Jordan Brand, releasing a meticulously crafted Air Jordan 3 Retro. This latest partnership highlights A Ma Maniére’s signature aesthetic, blending luxury with streetwear sensibilities.
This Air Jordan 3 showcases a unique color palette that complements the iconic silhouette. The shoe features a muted violet hue, known as Violet Ore, applied to the perforated suede panels, adding a subtle yet striking contrast against the all-black tumbled leather upper. The iconic elephant print has been replaced with hairy suede panels in a Flat Pewter grey, adding a textural element that speaks to A Ma Maniére’s penchant for innovative design.
Further enhancing the aged aesthetic, a yellowed tint has been incorporated into the midsole, a design element that has become a hallmark of previous A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan collaborations. The construction of the Air Jordan 3 has been refined, with a deconstructed execution resulting in pinched ankle collars and tongues, creating a more form-fitting and contemporary appearance.
The shoes are accompanied by a set of hang-tags, featuring their signature brand label and a 1988-inspired plastic hang-tag in Violet Ore. A plush cloth scarf in a rich burgundy hue adds a touch of luxury, while the special-edition shoebox celebrates the Whitaker Group retail imprint’s tenth anniversary.
The A Ma Maniére x Air Jordan 3 is scheduled for release on August 21, 2024, with a retail price of $250.
