The Audi Q5 has been a benchmark in the midsize SUV segment for more than 15 years, and the latest generation is set to revolutionise the market once again. With its modern design, advanced technology and impressive performance, the new Audi Q5 SUV is set to continue its success story.
Gernot Döllner, Chairman of the Board of Management of AUDI AG, said: “The Audi Q5 has been our most successful and most important SUV model in the midsize class for more than 15 years. The new edition is a further development of its proven characteristics.” He added, “As the second model in our new generation of highly efficient combustion engines, it marks the next important step in the rejuvenation of our portfolio.”
A new era in design
Audi Q5 SUV 2025 has a modern and dynamic design that sets it apart from its competitors. The taut, high shoulder line creates a powerful silhouette, while the rising line over the wheel arches gives the car a dynamic appearance even when stationary. The front is confident, with a sporty, wide single-frame that sits high and is flanked by vertical, functional air curtains.
The interior design is based on the four basic characteristics of Audi interior design: human-centred, visual clarity, functionality and aesthetics. The clear layout of the interior provides an overview, while the horizontal structure of the control panel creates a sense of width. In front of the driver and front passenger is the “Digital Stage” with the Audi MMI displays.
Advanced technology
The new Audi Q5 features advanced technology, including a modern infotainment system and operating concept. The Audi MMI panoramic display and the MMI front passenger display provide a clear and intuitive interface, while the 10.9-inch MMI front passenger display with Active Privacy Mode ensures that the driver is not distracted while driving.
The car also features a range of driver assistance systems, including rear parking aid with distance display, cruise control and speed limiter, lane departure warning, efficiency assistant and alertness and drowsiness assistant. Additional assistance packages can be configured as options.
Performance and efficiency
The new Audi Q5 SUV is available with three engine options, including a 2.0 TFSI, a 2.0 TDI and a V6 TFSI in the Audi SQ5. The MHEV plus system with 48-volt electrical system supports the combustion engine, reduces CO2 emissions and increases performance and driving comfort.
The car also offers a range of suspension and steering options, including dynamically tuned steel suspension, sports suspension and adaptive damper control. Enhanced progressive steering provides a more agile and responsive driving experience.
Environmental sustainability
The new Q5 is manufactured at the Audi plant in San José Chiapa, Mexico, which is characterised by resource-saving production and is a role model for sustainable water use. The plant is certified according to the standards of the Alliance for Water Stewardship (AWS) for its efficient water management, and the recycling rate for waste generated at the plant is more than 90%.
Pricing and availability
The new Audi Q5 SUV and Audi SQ5 SUV will be launched in Germany and many other European countries in the first quarter of 2025. The Audi Q5 family will be available to order in Germany from September 2024, with prices starting at €52,300 for the Audi Q5 SUV TFSI 150 kW.
