adidas has been shaking up the golf world with its CODECHAOS franchise, and the CODECHAOS 25 is its latest innovation. This shoe isn’t just about aesthetics, although it does boast a striking silhouette. It’s about performance, comfort, and pushing the boundaries of what a golf shoe can be.
The CODECHAOS 25 features a redesigned outsole with a 3D TORSION plate for increased stability. This plate, according to adidas, helps golfers maintain balance during their swing and as they walk the course. The company also claims the plate improves fit and minimizes midfoot bend, reducing the risk of heel slippage. Another important feature is the updated TWISTGRIP outsole with a new lug shape that increases traction by 40%.
“Nearly 5 years ago, we made the bold move to introduce CODECHAOS when traditional spikeless models were saturating the market,” said Masun Denison, global footwear director, adidas Golf. “The impact this footwear had then and continues to have now is another proof point for us that golfers are continuing to look for spikeless performance in athletic and non-traditional silhouettes. CODECHAOS 25 represents a milestone for us on how we’ve made this shoe better over the past 5 years, especially during a time where golf has seen such tremendous growth and participation.”
The CODECHAOS 25 BOA model takes comfort and performance to the next level with the PerformFit® Wrap powered by the BOA Fit System. This wrap, encased in a zipper shroud, provides a locked-in feel and added stability. The midsole is a hybrid of BOOST and LIGHTSTRIKE technologies, combining energy return and foot cradling with stability and comfort.
The upper is made from a durable, multi-layered knit that offers flexibility and breathability. The bottom layer is soft and moisture-wicking, ensuring comfort throughout the round. The middle layer, a dynamic jacquard, provides flexibility and adaptability, while the outer layer is a sporty mesh for added durability. A transparent PU film adds a unique touch and waterproof protection.
The CODECHAOS 25 is available in both BOA and laced models for men and women, and a junior model is also available on adidas.com. The BOA models will be available worldwide beginning August 1st, while the laced version will be available later in the year for certain regions.
