The Adizero Ubersonic 5 from adidas is a big step forward in tennis shoe technology, offering unparalleled speed on the court. Professional players around the world have already started using these new shoes in their training routines in preparation for the 2025 season.
The SPEEDFRAME technology, which was previously only used in adidas football and rugby boots, is now making its tennis debut. This new feature secures the heel and midfoot, giving you the stability you need for those quick directional changes that are a big part of modern tennis matches.
“Through collaboration with our players, we incorporated their feedback to carefully evolve features from previous models and introduced technology from other sports, never seen before in our tennis shoes,” says Ben Herath, VP of Design Specialist Sports at adidas. “The result is an elite-level shoe fine-tuned for speed.“
The LIGHTSTRIKE midsole technology, which comes from adidas’s record-setting running line, gives you excellent court responsiveness while keeping the weight to a minimum. Players get a better feel for the ground thanks to the low-profile design, which helps them connect with the court better and move more easily.
The half-bootie construction is refined and features minimalist mesh, which promotes optimal breathability while reducing the overall weight. The upper design makes sure players are comfortable without sacrificing the structural integrity they need for high-intensity matches.
The Adizero Ubersonic 5 comes in a bold Lucid Red colorway with a three-stripe design on the side. It’s available for men (UK 6-15) and women (UK 3.5-10) at €150/$150 on adidas.com and the adidas app. There are also versions for hardcourt and clay to suit different tennis surfaces.
