Former Moschino creative director Jeremy Scott ventures into the beauty realm through an extraordinary partnership with SpoiledChild, marking a significant moment where high fashion meets innovative skincare. The collaboration showcases Scott’s distinctive creative vision while embracing SpoiledChild’s commitment to sustainable beauty solutions.
The centerpiece of this limited-edition collection transforms H30 Fibroquin Advanced Firming Eye Cream into an artistic statement, housed in a striking chrome spaceship case. “The products already have this futuristic sci-fi movie kind of feeling of these bottles,” Scott explains. His fresh perspective on aging resonates throughout the design: “Growing older is an extreme luxury. The opposite is not being alive.”
Scott’s connection to SpoiledChild began through his Los Angeles-based esthetician, Michelle Montiel. “I was questioning her about them, and then we started playing with them, and I fell in love with them,” Scott shares, and this organic discovery led to a deeper appreciation for both the formulations and their innovative packaging approach.
The collaboration features several standout pieces: a metallic silver bag, a hooded jacket with “SPOILED” boldly displayed, the chrome spaceship containing the signature eye cream, and a comprehensive Return-to-Joy wellness kit.
The interior of the hoodie reveals a surprising shade of “wasabi” green, maintaining SpoiledChild’s vibrant brand identity while incorporating Scott’s space-age vision.
Since its launch in February 2022 under the Oddity umbrella, SpoiledChild’s market presence has been remarkable. With 17 refillable products ranging from hair care to skin care, the brand generated $48 million in gross sales in its first year. According to Lindsay Drucker Mann, Oddity’s global chief financial officer, SpoiledChild will generate $110 million in net sales in 2023.
Scott particularly enjoys the brand’s wellness offerings: “I fell in love with the apple cider vinegar probiotics,” though he humorously adds, “I know they’re not candy, and I have to remind myself of that.” While remaining tight-lipped about upcoming projects, Scott hints that more developments are on the horizon.
