BOSS, a brand known for its impeccable formalwear, has taken a new direction with its Spring 2025 collection, offering a refreshing escape from the daily grind. Titled “Out of Office,” the collection is a metaphor for the desire to unwind after a day’s work.
Presented in the idyllic garden setting of the Palazzo del Senato, the Spring 2025 collection showcases a compelling reinvention of the formal suit. Creative Director Marco Falcioni has elegantly evolved BOSS’s formalwear DNA, fusing tailoring with sportswear and casual elements. The transition from formal to casual is effortless as tailored suits give way to fluid, unlined blazers and looser trousers, perfectly capturing the essence of the modern man’s need for versatility.
The collection was brought to life by an all-star cast, including tennis players Matteo Berrettini and Taylor Fritz, German runner Alica Schmidt and swimmer Nicolò Martinenghi. David Beckham, now a BOSS employee, was in the front row, embodying the brand’s new direction in a formal navy suit.
The men’s suits had a velvety touch, with loose trousers and unlined blazers that caressed the body. The absence of ties was notable, replaced by small scarves peeking out from under unbuttoned shirts. Even the briefcase was redesigned to look collapsed, as if drained by an overwhelming workday.
BOSS has also become known for its diverse casting, which is not performative but the result of pure marketing insight. The brand’s Claim 5 strategy ensures a mix of high-profile models, athletes and cultural figures, focusing on reach and relatability rather than size. This inclusivity was evident in the cast, who wandered through a springtime savannah set at Villa Eugenie.
The collection’s color palette shifted to earthy browns and greens, with tailored trousers cropped into roomy capris and brogues replaced by babouches. Suits were cut sack-style with unstructured shoulders in fabrics like raw silk, wool and linen. Low-slung drawstrings added a sporty touch to the trousers.
