PUMA and KidSuper reaffirm their design synergy with a vibrant new collection spanning footwear, apparel and accessories. This season, the creative partnership draws heavily from the realm of football, reinterpreting PUMA’s legacy of athletic wear through a contemporary lens. Expect a fusion of muted tones, meticulously crafted patterns and modern design sensibilities interwoven with the functionality of sportswear.
At the heart of the collection is a reimagining of classic sportswear silhouettes. The Cellerator Track Pants and Cellerator Track Jacket, for example, feature a stylized take on PUMA’s iconic leaping cat emblem. These pieces are juxtaposed with outerwear offerings such as the Reversible Vest and MMQ Jacket, both of which feature intricate, custom-designed mosaic patterns. A sense of exclusivity is provided by the “KidSuper Academy” graphics that adorn key pieces like the Graphic Tee and Crewneck. Meanwhile, the trapper hat and gloves add to the collection’s distinct personality.
Footwear receives a similarly playful yet sophisticated treatment. KidSuper infuses the Easy Rider and Palermo silhouettes with his signature wavy lines and muted color palette. The use of contrasting materials, including breathable mesh and luxurious suede, lends a raw, deconstructed aesthetic to the collaborative footwear.
To celebrate the launch of the collection, PUMA and Colm Dillane, the visionary behind the KidSuper label, staged an unforgettable event. On September 9, 2024, Harlem’s legendary Apollo Theater became the backdrop for a live comedy extravaganza featuring an array of comedic talent. This event coincided with the unveiling of the second installment of “SCRAM!“, a limited animated series originally introduced in 2020. This second episode features celebrities such as PUMA ambassadors Jack Grealish, Lamelo Ball and Neymar Jr. as well as appearances by Westside Gunn, Thierry Henry and Usain Bolt.
The overarching campaign for the collection builds on the themes of personal growth and development portrayed in “SCRAM!” The visuals depict the diverse subcultures of New York City coming together, united by their shared appreciation for the latest PUMA x KidSuper release.
The PUMA x KidSuper collection will be available for purchase on September 21st. You can find these exclusive pieces at PUMA.com, select PUMA flagship stores and a curated selection of PUMA retailers.
