adidas has brought its iconic Trefoil logo back to the football field with new third jerseys for five major European clubs. The move marks a significant shift, fusing the brand’s rich heritage with contemporary football fashion.
The sportswear giant unveiled fresh designs for Arsenal, Bayern Munich, Juventus, Manchester United and Real Madrid. Each jersey features the classic Trefoil emblem, which has been absent from on-field uniforms for more than two decades.
“We’re bridging our past with the present,” said Sam Handy, SVP of Product and Design at adidas Football. “The Trefoil represents our brand’s legacy in sports and style. Bringing it back to the pitch feels right as we approach our 75th anniversary.“
Arsenal’s third kit features a bold design with a crewneck collar, while Bayern Munich’s kit pays homage to the club’s badge from the 1970s. Juventus go for a starry night theme, and Manchester United’s kit features the club’s iconic tricolor flag. Real Madrid’s offering features an elegant monogram pattern.
These kits aren’t just about looks. They’re engineered with the latest adidas performance technology to keep players cool under pressure. The Fan versions feature moisture-wicking AEROREADY technology for comfort.
The return of the Trefoil to match day kits is adidas’ recognition of football’s growing influence on fashion. Designed to be worn both on and off the pitch, these third jerseys appeal to fans who see their team’s kit as a style statement.
